Interpretive Touch Drawing (Conference Art)

By Deborah Koff-Chapin

Through the immediacy of Touch Drawing, I am able to visually portray the content and feeling-tone of a lecture, poetry reading, meeting or musical performance. I create 8-12 drawings per hour. I love the collaborative nature of the experience. I often create images I would not have developed on my own. I have done this for approximately 350 different presenters. See a comprehensive list of where I have drawn here.

Click on conferences below to view entire series of drawings. If you would like to order a signed, archival fine art print, write down the ID Code and click here to order. If you are interested in purchasing an original or receiving permission to reproduce an image, contact center@touchdrawing.com. Drawings can be enhanced with color. Deborah Koff-Chapin • Interpretive Artist

Through the immediacy of Touch Drawing, Deborah is able to visually portray both the content and energetic qualities of a lecture, poetry reading, or musical performance. She creates 8 to 10 drawings per hour. These images are then displayed for the audience to reflect upon. In some settings, they are sold as a benefit for charitable causes. The images can also be reproduced along with conference proceedings, or in association with the published works of the author whose words she has interpreted. Deborah engages in this process along the sidelines without distracting from the presentations. Occasionally, she is on stage or on camera so that people can witness the Touch Drawings being created.
