What's happening these days....I am working on plans for workshops in such varied places as Amsterdam (January 9-10), Santa Fe, Puerto Rico, Florida, New York & California. I am also starting a second blog; a free-space where I post reflections and photos on facilitating Touch Drawing, experiences drawing in unique settings and other creative adventures. I will begin posting this week as I begin a journey to Europe where I just might sit in the Louvre and do Touch Drawing while my daughter Aleah does her incredible refined realist work. I will also have a week-long deep personal retreat near Chartres Cathedral. I will sit quietly in the pews of this great sacred space and see what images emerge. Check the blog for magical moments.
What is coming up: The weekend Touch Drawing workshop in Amsterdam on January 9 & 10 is coming together as an international event. We already have people registered from Finland, South Wales, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. We can take just a few more. Please spread the word to anyone you know who might be interested in this rare Touch Drawing retreat in Europe.
New Drawings: It was inspiring to draw during five weekly talks on Incarnational Spirituality by David Spangler. I am also studying with him in online classes, and deeply recommend his work. I was so honored to draw during a benefit talk by Maya Angelou and a Holly Near concert. Another fulfilling experience was assisting with the Two Worlds Wisdom Gathering. I drew during powerful presentations by Leland Kaiser and elders from the Jewish and Toltec traditions. I now have piles of new drawings from these and other settings. I have been working with colored pencils to bring out subtleties in the images. You might not even know these drawings were worked on. I will let you know when some of these images are posted.
What is New on the Site: Here are a few of the freshest additions.
Two New Audio Interviews: I just completed a couple of hour-long interviews with Layers of Health and Art and Soul Radio. Find out more and access the recordings on the Articles and Interviews page.
New E-card: The 'Gratitude' image on the entry page is now our Feature E-card. Send it to a loved one with your own color-selection and note.
New Touch Drawing report: Reverend Donna Belt is an interfaith minister. She says "Touch Drawing has long been an amazing process in my life, as well as serving as an inspirational tool for those whom I serve. Cancer patients, those in grief or facing life transitions; all have been touched by the healing that comes to them through moving their hands across the paper and discovering what wants to be said." Her article was the most popular ever for the Chaplaincy Institute!
