Interpretive Touch Drawing

Through the immediacy of Touch Drawing, I am able to visually portray both the content and energetic qualities of a lecture, poetry reading or musical performance. I create 8 to 12 drawings per hour. These images are then displayed for the audience to reflect upon. In some settings, they are sold to benefit for charitable causes, or reproduced along with conference proceedings.

I have done this for over 150 different presentations over the years. The authors and musicians include Isabel Allende, Angela Davis, Marion Woodman, Jean Houston, Neal Donald Walsh, Jane Goodall, Carolyn Myss, Rachel Remen, David Spangler, Angeles Arrien, Coleman Barks, John Kabat-Zinn, Alan Ginsberg, Gary Snyder, Monks of the Drepung Loseling Monastery, Mevlevi Order of America Whirling Dervishes and many others.

The following eight drawings were created in July 2002 during a one-hour talk on Israeli/Palestinian relations by Yehezkel Landau. To find out more about Yehezkel and Dalia's work, go to www.friendsofopenhouse.org.
